Why a person ends up building an AI Quoting Engine
Atishay founded Mavlon in 2024 around one observation: at a custom manufacturer, the slowest part of a quote is reading the customer’s documents. The specification, the drawings and the addenda all have to be read by a senior person before anyone can name a price, and that skill lives in the heads of a shrinking number of people.
Mavlon is his answer: the AI Quoting Engine, which turns a customer’s bid package into a priced draft quote in the company’s own pricing within minutes and leaves the final number to the estimator. It is live in production at a US manufacturer of engineered waterfront structures (see the case study). An earlier version was deployed at Montanstahl, the Swiss special-steel group, across three European plants, where their engineers graded it 85%+.
He works founder-close to the ground: builds the product, runs every customer demo personally, reads the bid packages companies send in, and maintains everything published on this site.
