Why a person ends up teaching AI to read drawings
Atishay founded Mavlon in 2024 around one observation: the most expensive skill in engineering-to-order manufacturing is reading engineering drawings, and it lives in the heads of a shrinking number of senior engineers. Every first article report and every quote begins with the same hours of reading, interpreting tolerances, expanding fit classes, chasing flag notes, that no software actually did.
Mavlon is his answer: AI that reads the whole drawing the way those engineers do, flags what it is unsure about instead of guessing, and puts its output through production use, not just demos. The system was deployed at Montanstahl, the Swiss special-steel group, across three European plants, and graded 85%+ by their engineers.
He works founder-close to the ground: builds the product, runs every customer demo personally, reads the drawings shops send in, and maintains everything published on this site.
