What Mavlon is
One reading engine, two expensive problems
A 2D engineering drawing is the densest document in manufacturing: dimensions, tolerances, GD&T frames, fit classes, flag notes, and standards references, all compressed into a page that only experienced engineers read fluently. Every engineering-to-order manufacturer pays for that reading twice: once in quality (ballooning drawings and building AS9102 first article reports) and once in estimating (reading RFQ packages to quote work).
Mavlon is AI that does that reading. It interprets the whole drawing, applies general-note tolerances by size, expands fit classes to real limits, maps flag notes to features, captures GD&T with full datum references, and hands back a pre-filled Form 3 or a structured, quote-ready RFQ record, with everything it is unsure about flagged for human review instead of guessed.

Montanstahl, the Swiss special-steel manufacturer, deployed Mavlon across plants in Switzerland, Germany, and Italy, screening RFQ feasibility that had consumed thousands of senior estimating hours per year. Their engineers graded the engine at 85%+ accuracy.
